Republic Mine Accident

I have a relative from Sweden named Peter Johnson who died in a work related mining accident in 1901. It happened at the Republic Mine in Michigan. I believe the county is Marquette and the township is Ishpeming. Perhaps there is an accident report, or an article in the newspaper.
An obit would be great, because I'm not sure where they buried him. He also had a sister Mary Johnson living in Marquette at the time.
