Note in the above photograph of grand-dad and I, he is showing not only the main identification so many oldsters looked for, but the left hand fingers, if you note, from JJ, if you also look closer at the goatee hiding that well known BLACK POWER BURNS on his square chin, the white shirt and necktie, covers the terrible scars of ROPE BURNS, inflicted upon him by Yankee Army officers about a month after General Lee surrendered many confederate soldiers were held in Yankee Prison camps being given third degree beatings and torture before they were allowed to go home, in some incidents.

Notice how he puts a spin on words to this lady.I think Dalton was telling one story half of the time and Howk another. They had lied so much they both sound like insane men. So Dalton's twin sister became Mollie who at one time was his Mother.
I am curious about the Herring address.Was there a reason it was blacked out. There was aHerring family in Granbury,Texas. Also a Herring cemetery with Blevins and Willis,Wilot family buried there.Thanks, Glynda
