Carl, I welcome new information and believe that is the only way to ever solve these mysteries.That's why I was asking for point by point reasons as to why you believe Hite and Dalton were one and the same -- you may be right even though at this point I don't agree.

I will tell you this much about the new information on Hite which will be included in full in the next book -- it may be hurtful to the Hite's.That's why I would like to talk to Richard Hite.

I do, however, agree with you that some Hite DNA would be very helpful for Bud to have on hand at the next exhumation.I also believe it would benefit Bud to have some Dalton DNA on hand as Sue Laura Hale's mtDNA sequence.Her mtDNA sequence is just like ol' Jesse himself donating a sample.When dealing with these old outlaws one never knows what they're going to find...;)
