Thomas Clark/Silverhead Tom/Eel River Massacre-1676
Young Thomas Clark survived being scalped and left for dead during the massacre on the William Clark garrison house on the Eel River, Plymouth Colony, in March 1676. Tom wore a silver plate or bowl to protect his head for the rest of his life. Thus he was known as "Silverhead Tom". Does anyone know who he married? He is said to have married and have numerous descendants.
Also who are his parents? One source says Tom's father was Thomas Clark, "mate" of the Mayflower and another seems to say it was Thomas Clark "mate" of the Mayflower who was scalped. Yet other sources suggest Tom was the son of William Clark who owned the garrison house.
