could you please tell me how to find out if any of my ancesters came over here on the mayflower. my family names are WISWELL on my maternal grandfathers side. SEVERANCE on my maternal grandmothers side. these are my mothers parents. and my fathers last name and my birth name was KING. i don't know my grandmothers maiden name on my fathers side because i never knew my father and i am trying to find out all i can about him. most of all about me. i have found out that i have a coat of arms on my fathers side and that i am irish and english from him. but so far that is all i have because my mother refuses to talk to me about him and he died when i was 17 before i had the chance to meet him. any help you can give me would be eternally greatful.
