Michelle,
if you go to the site that Susan suggested, the
www.mayflower.org
and then click on "Membership", the names of the men of the Mayflower will be listed there. How much of your family history do you know about?I mean, how many generations back from your mother do you know?
i realize you have a difficult situation with finding out more info about your father's side.all i can suggest is perhaps an aunt or uncle or cousin may be able to help you if your mom feels as tho she can't at this time.regardless, tho, my last name is Iversen and the person who i am directly related to via the Mayflower is William Brewster! as far as i could see none of the last names that you gave in your post have anything to do with anyone from the Mayflower.but then again, how did Wm. Brewster get a descendant whose last name is Iversen?
particularly when you share ancestry with someone thru someone's mother's line a name change, unfortunately, is inevitable.of course that isn't always the case. no doubt there are many Brewsters today who share lineage with Wm Brewster as well.
what you can do is either trace your family as far back as you can - that will take a LONG time.or you can try to access a home page thru genforum.com, genealogy.com, or ancestry.com that lists descendants of the men from the Mayflower.then, if anybody's descendant lines start to merge with your ancestral line . . . then there's a match.and from there then you can contact the GSMD yourself for further info on how you can join the society if that is something you wish to do.
hope this has been somewhat helpful for you.
