From a review of the PDF you found, it seems that the longest banner which can be produced by the Konica machine is 1200mm.
My problem is that my current printer (HP 6122, colour, A4 size) does print out colour banners directly from FTM up to 8 metres long … exceptionally useful for printing Standard Descendant Trees covering 6 or 7 generations at once, with photos, say for a family get-together. The printer is, however, about 10 years old and will surely fail at some point.
I have found some Epson/OKI dot matrix printers that do have banner function, but not in colour. They seem to be designed for B&W multi-part printing for business invoices etc.
I guess we keep looking. Can anyone assist here?
It does seem ridiculous that the needs of the, surely large, Genealogy Community are not being catered for by mainstream Printer manufacturers.
