Sorry for the delay... when school is out my life becomes nothing more than a means of maintaining my 12 y/os social life!!! lol
But, yes, that was my Grandfather. His name was Charles Claude Payne. I'm sure that information must show his father as Charles/Charley and his mother as Martha.
I'm pretty curious as to where they went after Herrin, or where they were prior to Herrin. Since I can't find them anywhere else, (and have learned Martha was remarried within a decade of Grandfather being born), I'm hoping Charley/Charles Payne didn't cross that strike-line and become an unnamed casualty of the Herrin massacre of 1922!
