Re: 1900/1910 census lookup for Massachusetts please
I have a copy of John Perrin's death certificate from Easthampton, MA with his date of death listed as 1916.
I found John and Catherine Perrin and children in the 1880 census in Holyoke MA. I do know some of their children were in MA after 1880...their daughter Rose Perrin, my gg grandmother was married to Arthur Pepin and lived in Easthampton. In John Perrin's obituary It doesn't mention his wife but mentions his son John Perrin of Holyoke and and daughter Emma (Mrs. Frank Landry) living in Phoenix, RI and my gg grandmother Rose. No mention of sons Henry or Joseph...I don't know if Catharine Perrin had died by then but it seems odd that she wouldn't be mentioned in the obituary if she was still alive.
I know the name Perrin was sometimes spelled Parent but don't know if there were any other ways their name may have been spelled by census takers....maybe Perin, Parrin, Paren...who knows...they got creative with spelling sometimes!!:)
I can't figure out why they aren't showing up in the census after 1880...they've got to be there somewhere.
Thanks for looking them up. I appreciate it!!:)
