Can someone recommend the best way of recording all the information on a death certificate in a TMG database? The one I'm currently looking at (from the UK GRO) contains: Entry number: 196 Registration District: Southampton Subdisrict: Southampton Administrative Area: County of Hampshire Place and Date of Death: Third Spetember 1987, General Hospital, Southampton Name and Surname: James Terence Ralph Sylvester-Bradley Sex: Male Date and Plaxce of Birth: 6 Jan 1922, Weymouth, Dorset Occupation and usual address: Instructor p School of Signals (retired), Knighton Manor, Durweston, Balndford, Dorset Name and surname of informant: David Lanoe Sylvester-Bradley Qualification: Brother Usual address: The LOfts, Lowerr Pennington, Lymington, Hampshire Cause of Death: 1a. Respiratory arrest b. Left cereborvascular event c. Hypertension Certified by S M Jones BM Signature of informant. Date of registration: 4 Sep 1987 Signature of registrar
Ideally I would like to record _all_ of this information, once, so I don't have to refer back to the original certificate, and so the information can be referred to wherever it's relevant without having to re-enter it. Also I would like the information to be included in a readable way in any narrative reports or web sites that I generate from the data.
