Thank you all very much for your helpful responses and thank you Ruth for your explaination.
I had searched for anything that might help me and tried them all - I guess that had I searched for the .pro strings I might have gotten where I needed to be.I was trying to figure out why the program would not load with my XP, and after all the "flack" - no offense meant, you inadvertently gave me the answers I needed.The explaination of the .pro file - since that was the only one I have, I guess I am just doomed to restart my project. : (
The only reason I had it was that I was playing around with the Flash drive after getting it and after the 98 was destroyed I had hoped that was all I needed as my original backup disks (which were in all extentions) were lost in my move.
Thanks again for all the info and I too am sorry if I possibly took what Ruth said the wrong way.It is frustrating to spend that much time on something that means so much only to lose it in the blink of an eye.
