I've read the exchanges between You, the users, and Paul, and would like to throw my 2 cents in...
Paul is in the unfortunate situation of sitting between you folks, and the management that has very strict rules about what he can and cannot discuss on this board. No matter how many times he tells you that he can't, people still ask him questions he can't answer, and then get on his case when he doesn't.
As the lead UFT Engineer, I feel very strongly about the product, I can assure you, and I fully apprecate and understand your concerns.I also, personally, share many of those concerns. So please don't interpret this as some kind of blow-off or smoothing-over.
I think the letter writing campaigns I read posts about earlier are the way to go - let management know you exist! If enough of you do that, you just may get a response!Management does not monitor this board, so the only way you're going to be heard is to write them directly!
It's not Paul's job to promote UFT (as much as I wish it were!), so I don't feel it's fair to come down on him for that either.
As I view it, Paul's presence here, much like mine, is to try and help out with issues that Tech Support can't seem to figure out, talk to the Online group when there are web site problems, and things such as that.If you ask he or I things beyond that, you're going to be disappointed.
Please don't take any of this the wrong way, I'm just expressing my personal opinion here.
