"The March/April 2000 issue of NGS Newsmagazine rated UFT 3..."
No, the article was not stated to be the result of an NGS-sponsored activity. It was written by Bill Mumford and reported on his work. While I have a lot of respect for Bill in his efforts to compare packages, it is apparently the result of one person's look.
A couple of years back I recommended to the NGS-CIG that it undertake an activity to identify the characteristics to be measured. At that time they said they had no one willing to undertake it - understandable, because it's a big job and would have to be done in a committee environment, vendors included, to insure acceptability.
So it is not NGS's work, it is Bill Mumford's. But I think he did a bang-up job, and is to be congratulated.
