G'Day Paul, Thanks for your reply. I merely "Reply"ed to your message, hence the "not in thread" situation. As previously explained, in 3 messages all addressed to you, I started with R5 on C Drive. This was progressively upgraded to UFT 2.(whatever the original was) all the way through to UFT2.8 via updates/upgrades. I then purchased the RETAIL version of UFT 3.0 and, as per instructions, installed it over UFT2.8 - still on C Drive. Then all the hoo-haaa about bugs came out and I was advised to install R%, Upgrade through the original downloads to UFT2.8 to avoid the known bugs in UFT3.0. To avoid conflict I installed this on D Drive as D:UFT2_8. It worked well and still does. After the further problems with UFT3.10 updates (ra & ua) I downloaded the NEW ra & ua updates and tried to install ra as Help, etc, showed, and still shows, UFT 3:00:00 ie, by my understanding of your instructions, the ORIGINAL Retail UFT3.0 on C Drive. I then got the message i told you about in my second-last post. After receiving that message I tried to install the ua version of the NEW update - same result - same message. I then decided to install a CLEAN copy of UFT 3.0 (RETAIL) directly to D Drive. This was successful so I then installed ra version of 3.10. it worked, as I said in my latest post. So, I have C:UFT which is the R5-UFT 2.? - 2.8 updated to UFT 3.0 from CD (Retail version). D:UFT2_8 which is a "new" R5 to UFT 2.? - 2.8 Upgrade. NOW I also have D:UFT3 which is UFT 3.0 Upgrades with the ra Patch. I also have R5 still active and working on C Drive. ALL 4 Copies WORK. I have them ALL linked to the same Project. The only thing I have noticed is that a few REVENT Events I have built for Historical Calender on the original C Drive UFT3.0 do NOT appear on the Historical Calender of either version on D Drive - even though I have pointed ALL versions to the same libraries. I can live with this as I have re-built them again in the NEW UFT 3.0 upgraded to 3.1 and they work OK there. I hope this helps. Michael V. McCarthy AUSTRALIA PS. Which versions can I now UNINSTALL without screwing the whole thing up?
