Hi Jim,You are welcome for the quick reply...and likewise.
Regretfully, the accident that I was helping a friend with did not include Lt. Kirschner. To confirm that my memory was correct after reading your email, I looked at the documents from the crash of the B-17 that my friend's brother was on.His last name was Gregorich,None of the names below from the second crash were included in the crew with Sgt.Gregorich either.
Have you sent for the MACR for the crash that Lt. Kirschner was in?That may give you good information. Also, try for his IDPF (Individual Deceased Personnel File).Google it and it will tell you how to get it.Takes about 4 to 6 months to get it.If you don't have his ASN, see if one of these two men are him.Narrow it by Year Born, middle initial and nativity ( click on the little white envelop to access nativity)

And I'm sure you know is listed on www.findagrave.combut just in case...thought I would pass on the information.
If I can help with anything else, let me know.
Best regards,
Andi
