I assume that he might be deceased based upon your statement that: "He WAS from Patterson, New Jersey" but even that is open to interpretation. You give no approximate birth date nor do you give a middle initial. If he is deceased, do you have an approximate death date? Did he stay in New Jersey? All important questions. To illustrate, I searched the Social Security Death Index and found 149 Robert Kearney's. Also, you mention that he was a Vietnam vet so I searched the DVA's database "Tombstone Locator" and got 26 hits for this name. Get my point?
