Is this the right man?


U.S. Army, Register of Enlistments, 1798-1914
Name:        John Eiler
Birthyear:        abt 1869
Birthplace:        Pennsylvania, United States
Enlistment Age:        27 8/12

the enlistment paper says he enlisted Feb 22 at Ft. Logan, Co.He was from Pittsburg, Pa. He was a grocery clerk. He had blue eyes, lt brown hair, lt complected. He was assigned to the 17 inf. hosp. corps. He was discharged Feb 21, 1900 at Ft. Apache, Az. expiration of service. He was a private "excellent."

Not sure if this is the same man:

The WW I and WWII draft registrations usually gave names of dependents but that is all.
You can write to the Army in St. Louis and get his records from there is you are related.

In 1900 he was at Ft. Apache, Az.
