peacetime war service (1921-1932) camp drum, (fort drum), new york

hi.my father joseph r. versailles was in the army .he enlisted in massachusetts, 1921, where he was born.he always told us that he was in the cavalry, and was one of the last to be in the horse cavalry for pine camp, which is now fort drum, new york.he served in peacetime between 1921 and 1932.i have found him in the 1930 cenuses for town of hounsfield, sackets harbor, new york.please e-mail me, if you have any information.thank you.
