I am also looking for a Jack E MacCurdy who was a member of my college fraternity, Phi Delta Theta, while he was a student at the University of Akron. He is listed in our fraternity files as graduating in 1936 but that date was entered at the time of initiation and he could have graduated earlier or later than 1936 or not at all. I do not work at the fraternity headquarters which is in Oxford, Ohio but it appears he was initiated on either 10/22/33 or 2/18/34. I picked these dates based on the dates of initiation of other fraternity brothers who were in the chapter at that time.

At some point he was reported as deceased to our national headquarters but without a date and place of death. My interest in him is to fix the date and place of death and report that information to our national headquarters so that his file will be complete. I am retired and do this sort of work as a volunteer.

By doing a Google search I found that Jack E MacCurdy authored two biology articles (12/55 while at Coral Gables HS& 4/63 while at South Dade HS).

I hope this information helps.
