Russ and Debbie-
I have been reluctant to suggest going into Win.ini, because I have been unable in the past to cause changes in Family TreeMaker FamPagFont with font substitutions there.
Also, I am not certain of the interactions of other settings, such as Display-Appearance with Win.ini
But I just now had a look in a Win98 computer, which has Pdf995, and FTM 10 "Printer", as well as a couple of other Postscript drivers, and found the following.
[FontSubstitutes]
Helv=MS Sans Serif
Tms Rmn=MS Serif
Times=Times New Roman
Helvetica=Arial
MS Shell Dlg=MS Sans Serif
MS Shell Dlg 2=MS Sans Serif
Monotype.com=Andale Mono
[Pscript TrueType Substitutions]
Arial=Helvetica
Arial Narrow=Helvetica-Narrow
Book Antiqua=Palatino
Bookman Old Style=Bookman
Century Gothic=AvantGarde
Century Schoolbook=NewCenturySchlbk
Courier New=Courier
Monotype Corsiva=ZapfChancery
Monotype Sorts=ZapfDingbats
Symbol=Symbol
Times New Roman=Times
Is it possible that Debbie has the FTM printer set to default, and that by doing so she has invoked a battle of font substitutions?
Is it possible that Debbie has an expensive "Postscript" laser printer (no matter how old) hooked up to her computer?
Is it possible that this invokes the "Postscript" font substitutions and prevents her from changing FamPagFont?
Dunno.

p.s. (Note that I got my start by playing around with font substitutions with Foxpro/Uft 2.0's horribly crippled rendition of Foxpro font substitution, when some gentleman from an eastern European country wanted to use UFT 2.x with Cyrillic characters. . .)
