Re: Family File saved wrong
"I then changed the backup file to SandyGE~.FBC. That seems to be OK..."
that was the file that was C:DocumentDesktopSandyGE~221.FBC.FBK.FBK.FTW
"How can you tell "it seems to be OK"? The only way to determine IF a FBC file is OK, is to do a File, Restore from back up...." When I did restore from backup it came from the
C:DocumentDesktopSandyGE~221.FBC.FBK.FBK.FTW file. The articles explained how to proceed to change the names of the files. ...Guess I did it wrong. Hang in there with me Russ....it may take a while for me to understand the correct process to repair my files.

I ran the Utility CTRL+ALT+SHFT+LeftArrow...OH BOY! It had 11 errors, which 10 were repair. The only one left was to be repaired by ..."Entered the name of the log in the following dialog box (example C:ftwlog.txt) "...I click OK.....a box comes up for me to name this log file...the only way out of that window is to click the X. There is no other command. Well the didn't work...arrggg. The next window that opens is the Auto File Fixer. This says Cannot open C:Documents and SettingsOwnerDesktop.
I ran that again....it ask me save it ...but there is no command to OK the save file.
