According to "The U. S. Army in WWI", the 308th Trench Mortar Battery was part of the 158th Field Artillery Brigade, which was part of the 83rd Division, not the 33rd Division.

The 308th Trench Mortar Battery was organized in September of 1917 at Camp Sherman, Ohio. In June of 1918 it was stationed at Camp Mills, New York. It was never sent overseas. I hope this helps you out. Timothy S. Padgett.
