To Mitch:Ifound this info in a book on Combat Service or Service in Theater of Operations. It shows 118th Inf was part of the 30 Division. There battle credits were for. 1-Canal Sector - July-16 thru Aug-18-1918. 2 Yprs-Lys- Aug-19 thru Sept-4 - 1918 . 3- Somme Offensive - Sept-23 thru Oct 10-1918.There's no listing of being a N.C. unit.You may be able to check with the N.C. National Guard for info because most of units were formed from state foces. Hope this helps. ART
