I fear you will be disappointed in the 91st Diary where it refers to CECIL FRANK WHITING Gunner 67865 as there are only two entries with little information. Your information explains a lot more.

Do you have any photographs of the battery or ofCECIL FRANK WHITING as I have a photograph of the men of the battery before they left UK. and it may be possible to identify him.

R.G.A., proceeded B.E.F., to France from "White City', Bristol, 25th May, 1916 [Nominal Roll 1916 0525] 1916 1117 - No 1 KILLED Mailly Maillet, breech of No 2 gun blew out 1916 November 17 – Nov 17th.Firing continued throughout the day; there have only been two short pauses of less than half an hour since 5.45 a.m. on the 13th. 4 p.m. - At about 4 p.m. the breech of No. 2 gun blew out killing Corpl.
