Re: In Retrospect
Alan - United Kingdom and United States still are different. That is interesting. It would seem that United Kingdom people (or anyone) should have been able to get info about their military and men always while we here in the United States had info with held for about 50 yrs.
Sounds like the Diaries were much like our Morning Reports that Norm knows about. I don't know the restrictions on them. The few I have I had to ask for by date and unit and an archivist had to look them up. Then since I am next of kin I should not have had to pay for them. The others were .25 a page. Now if the price has not changed .50 a page.
I am sitting here smiling to think of all the fuss I have made to get US stuff while you just ask, I guess. Is there a charge? Mary
