Good morning, Debi Trinchero! I'm not exactly who you are tryng to contact, but I am compelled to respond anyway. After the war ended, I rotated out of an artillery battalion near the Alps, and ended up in supply, based and quartered in King Victorio Emmanuel's palace in Caserta. I spent a brief period there, probably Dec/45-Feb/46, when I shipped back to Texas. My compliments to your mother. Louie F. Turner., Former Chief of Section, 985th Field Artillery Battalion, Fifth Army, II Corps, IV Corps.
