Mike - He spent 3 months in England and maybe some of the others on this site can help you here. But I think most if not all troops landed in England first, trained there for the 3 months and then went across the Channel to France. The training would not be listed except in some General Orders which he probably would not have. No especial credit probably would be given for that. Credit would be for his action in France - Normandy and beyond.
