Re: Co E 109th Inf 28th Div
Sandy _ I can not tell you about your father but if you have not already read "Follow Me and Die: the Destruction of an American Division in World War II" by Cecil Currey you should. It is about the 28th Division in the Hurtgen Forest battle and more. A new book written by an enlisted man in Patton's Army will give you a glimpse of their actual life. It is "Visions from a Foxhole" by Wm Foley. Published June 2003. Foley was a very young infantry man who liked to draw pictures of things around him. This is the story of his war illustated with his WWII drawings.
The first may be out of print. Try your library or maybe Amazon. The 2nd should be currant in your library or book store. Mary
