Re: WW II - EAME medal is ???
Contact the National Personnel Records Center, Military Personnel Records, 9700 Page Avenue
St. Louis, MO63132-5100.You will need a form #180.Fill out the form accordingly but make sure that where they list what information that you are seeking, state that you are "requesting any and all information available to you under the Freedom of Information Act."If you don't, often times they will send back the form with no info at all.
Also, in the early 70's, there was a major fire that burned for weeks at the records center.A lot of the files were destroyed and it is quite possible that the files you are seeking will not be there. The did imply that there are other record sources available but did not state what those were.I am following up that lead at this time.
The bronze arrowhead you referred to was give to individuals who were involved in a combat parachute jump, amphipious assault landing, or combat glider landing. It was worn on the E-A-ME Campaign Medal to the right of any campaign stars.
Best of regards,
