I am trying to find out some information about a Vivian Dale who I believe was an Sergent/driver in the 747th tank battalion during WWII. I think he was from new york. He was stationed in the midlands, England from March - 31 May before D-Day (June 1944). It was assumed that he died during active service, as he never made contact again with his acquaintances in England.
He and his buddies drank in my great great grandads pub which was a fave with the U.S Soldiers.
any info would be muchly appreciated and any i would gladly share any info which you may find appropriate,
