Leroy Z Bjorge (USA) in Bedfordshire (UK)
Leroy Z. Bjorge (I think that is the correct spelling)was stationed in Bedfordshire during World War II.Whilst there he lived with a young family. These were my in-laws - Betty & George Jackson, their house was called 'The Hyde' in the village of Houghton Regis.Betty & George had 4 children born between 1941 & 1951, I am married to the youngest. The eldest always thought that Leroy was sent into battle, he never returned or got in touch, so they felt he must have been killed.Yesterday we all returned from Normandy, where the family felt he might have been sent, but we did not find him. He could in fact have been sent anywhere. We even have a photograph of him in uniform under a palm tree, but sadly cannoy pick out any detail.
Is there a website that I could search to find him, or does anyone know of a Leroy Z. Bjorge. We have no idea if he survived the war or not - he could even still be alive, in that case I would love to get in touch with him.Janice Jackson.
