Air raid database, locations, times etc

By Tom Burnell November 17, 2004 at 01:43:43

In 8/1/1941 was there an air raid on H.M.S. Eaglet,(In 1939 HMS Eaglet became the Base Ship for the Royal Navy in Liverpool, and for the duration of the war flew the flag of C-in-C Western Approaches, Admiral Sir Percy Noble and later Admiral Sir Max Horton.) The guy I am researching was SAUBERGUE, PETER LEWIS,Chief Petty Officer, who was supposed to have died in this air raid and was buried in LIVERPOOL (KIRKDALE) CEMETERY. All I have is a story but I would like to back it up with some solid data.
many thanks.
