817TH TECHICAL SERVICE UNIT CE ENGINEERS BOARD
I am seeking information on the 9817TH TECHICAL SERVICE UNIT CE ENGINEERS BOARD during World War II. I am interested in the history of this unit. The records were apparently lost in a fire in Kansas.
I know the following men served in that unit. I don't know any thing about these individuals other than Dardyn Ware who was attending school at Texas A&M when he joined the Army. I would like to find others who served in this unit.
John F. Waisanen of Embarrass, Minn. was inducted into the Army on June 27, 1945. He served as a private 1st class and carpenter with Company B of the 9817th Engineer Battalion Detachment One in the U.S. He was discharged on March 9, 1946.
