I have the front section of the Erie Herald Dispatch newspaper dated Wednesday, March 8, 1944.
Included in this part of the paper is a section entitled "Men and Women in Uniform."
There are several brief articles on each person in "Uniform," most of whom are home on leave. The name of the person, their home address, parent(s) name(s), wife's name (where applicable) and in at least one case a daughter's name is listed in addition to the person's rank, branch of the service and where they were stationed. Most of the articles are accompanied with a small photograph.
I would like to post the information in an appropriate way.I have no idea whether any of the men mentioned are still living and don't want to violate anyone's privacy by posting a "mother's maiden name," a possible valid home address or other information that could be misused (unfortunately).
Another part of this same section has a few marriage announcements/engagement announcements with photographs of the brides.Again, I don't want to inappropriately post information.
Any advice on posting would be greatly appreciated.
