Re: Hiroshima Japan, 6 August 1945.
My sentiments on "The Bomb"
Aug. 6 -- The date that brings out all the "bleeding hearts", revisionists and jap sympathizers. They fill the editorial pages, air waves and T.V. documentaries with their lamentations and their protestations.
It is obvious that they were not at Pearl Harbor Dec. 7, 1941 to witness 1,100 sailors entombed in a watery grave on the Arizona.
It is obvious that they did not march in the Bataan Death Marchin 1942 and see a buddy bayoneted and left by the side of the road because he couldn't keep up.
It is obvious they did not spend any time in a Phillipine POW camp in 1943 and watch a fellow prisoner beheaded for the infraction of some rule.
It is obvious they did not stand on the burning deck of a ship hit by a Kamakazi in 1944 and see a ship mate burned to a crisp.
It is obvious they were not a surviving
"Battling Bastard" of Bastogne in Germany in 1945 waiting to be shipped to the Pacific.
It is obvious that they are just trying to rewrite history. As long as there are any Veterans of the Pacific war alive, their arguments won't wash.Unfortunately it won't be too much longer and we will all be gone. Then they might get their dastardly deed done.
