Harold Peter 133d Field Artillery Bn 1941-1945
My grandfather passed away earlier this year and never talked much about the war.His name...Harold P. Peter. He serviced with the 133d FA Bn as a Light Truck Driver and fought in Naples-Foggia; Rome-Arno; Southern France; Rhineland and Central Europe.
I know that there were many army buddies he was close to and I have photos of them together. He talked about popping popcorn for villagers and other such things, but never anything about battles or his buddies. From what I understand one of them to whom he was very close was killed in action.
Harold was from Grafton, Nebraska, trained at Ft. Sill, OK and a few other places stateside before going overseas.
If anyone out there recognizes his name, remembers him, please contact me.
Thanks much...A granddaughter that would like to know more about her brave grandfather....Judy
