After Action Reports, 157th Infantry Regiment, ETO
Last week, I received from the National
Archives in College Park, MD, the After
Action Reports of the 157th Infantry
Regiment, 45th Infantry Division, for
March and April 1945.
The reports cover the period when
the regiment was engaged in heavy
combat at the Siegfried Line and
in Aschaffenburg and Schweinheim.
Regimental Statistical Reports are
included, which list number of KIA, MIA,
WIA, Prisoners of War captured, and Replacements.
The last page of each is the Roster of Key Personnel
I scanned them as .pdf files and will
be glad to email them to anyone who

My uncle, Nick Halchak, was wounded on
