followup on Clarence Switzer records
I received the papers back form St. Louis that a fire occured in 1973 and some of the military records were lost.I was told to contact the V.A. for his medical records, which I did and was told that his records were retired at East Point in Pennsylvania. The man I talked with said there was no address or phone number when I can send for these records.Does anyone know where this could be?Also on my father's discharge papers in the remarks section it says:
MOP pd on 3 January 1946 in a/w PAR VII 17a-4, WD Cir 310, 1945
Enlistment bonus pd in a/w Par VII, 17d, WD Cir 310, dtd 1945 on day of enlistment, 3 January 1946
Honorably discharged as Pfc, Aus, C of G to enlist
No time lost under AW107
What does all this mean?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
