My father was with Co.B, 2nd infantry "Red Diamond" during World War II from 1943 until 1945. He was a Staff Sergeant and was in General Patton's group.I have recently been given a patch from his uniform and would like to know what it was given for.It is square, olive drab with what looks like a bright blue clover leaf on it.In the middle of the clover leaf there are two white arrows (crossed) with what looks like a red acorn superimposed over the blue area.Does anyone know what this is?My father died shortly after the war and I never really knew him as I was very young during WW II.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have also found two other patches, one is chevron shaped with three stripes and a T below the stripes ,the other is olive drab in color with what looks like a capital A on it.
On his uniform jacket sleeve there is a chevron shaped patch with three stripes but no T underneath.
