FYI: The 1942 Draft Registation Cards (as well as the WWI Cards)are just that, Registraion only, any men who filled them out were only "drafted" when a lottery was held by the Selective Service Admin and thier card was chosen.(very simplified explanation). No such lottery was held for the 1942 Registration as far as I can determine.
The U.S. Enlistments Army Records online are all men who enlisted, volunteering or with a draft notice compelling them too.
This is more likely your Albert and his # in the SSA death index, date of birth matches WWII draft Card Registration Card and still living in Stafford County NH.
Alberte Ryan b. 15 May 1886 d. Jul 1968 last address: Dover, Strafford, New Hampshire. SSA Card isued in NH before 1951. Gertrude Ryan's card was issued in NH also.
There is probaly a transcription/typing error with the middle initial "E" placement or handwritting was unclear.
WWII Draft Registration Card: Albert Ernest Ryan b. 15 May 1886b.Rouch Cove, Newfoundland, living Strafford, New Hampshire -wife Gertrude, filed April 25th 1942.
Again there is another Albert E. Ryan b. 1902 son of an Edward living and born in Middlesex County, MA. The Albert Ryan b. 1902 d. in Rye that you cite had his SSA card issued in MA 1963 when your Ryan's were living in NH since at least 1942.
This is probalby the Albert Ryan b. 1902 that enlisted November 2nd, 1942 in Boston MA, as he is living in Middlesex County MA at time of enlistment, lists single, no dependants. Your Albert Ryan is married and living, at least as of April 1942, in Dover, Stafford Co NH and he filed his WWII Draft Registration card on April 25th 1942.
So your Albert Earnest Ryan Sr. b. 1886 never served in the military as per any online records now available. He answered "no" to Veteran status question in 1930 census.
