I have not posted on this forum in sometime, but would like to mention that the morning reports for nearly all WWII units are preserved on microfilm here in St.Louis. The original paper copies were sent to Suitland over 10 years ago and are in fragile condition. I live a few miles from the NPRC ( St. Louis)and make frequent visits there as the Asst. Historian for my father's 90th Division Association, having accumulated over 25,000 morning report paper copies from the film. FYI...upon my last visit to the Center, I was informed that individual rolls of MR microfilm will soon ( if not already) be available for purchase. The overwhelming number of morning report rolls of film was not damaged in the fire, but unfortunately Army roster film for 1944-46 were destroyed. Please feel free to contact me directly anytime if I can be of assistance.
