david thanks for trying to help, my dad lives about 2 1/2 hours drive away from me and icant get down south to see him very often. i have relied on what i can remember. but i hope to visit him soon and take notes of a few details without him knowing that i'm trying to get some stuff together for his birthday next year. i know the men were usually dropped off by sub and picked up by sub and often taken on U.S. PT boats from one place to another because my father told me of transferring from one conveyance to the other enroute. it is difficult when he does not talk much about what happened. i have told him it is important historically that what they did is recorded as fully as possible for future generations. i just wish i had the time and money to research all his memories and record them. i will post any new info i can gather. thanks.
