Yes I believe so, I have not ordered one yet. The $29.00 is a photocopy of the actual application so you see the handwriting and signature of the person who filled it out, usually the recipient and you determine spelling of the names. The computer extracted one, seems to me, to be one that is transcribed and information typed by someone at SSA and sent via internet. The only down side I see for this version is trusting the handwriting is clear and the names transcribed correctly, especially mother's maiden name. And you don't see your ancestors style of handwriting, which for me is part of why I order the photocopy. You also find out if they could read and write as my g grandfather's was filled out by someone else and he made "his mark" in signature line.
