Re: Bronze Star records and information?
Thanks so much for your help and the information provided! That gives me a lot options to try. His name was Charles F. Learner and served in in WWII and was part of the 1944 battle of Guam and was wounded there. Just spent some time on the phone speaking to my Grandmother about her father and she said he dove into a foxhole head first and was wounded on his feet/legs - if he had gone in feet first he always told them that he would have been killed! Kinda fun to hear the story as he told it to her. I asked her if she had any of his service records, but she said she wasn't sure and would have to look. But she said it def was a bronze star - however his name isn't on that list you linked too. Very interesting - a mystery I must try to unravel!
