The best source of information on the camps is the book, "Nazi Prisoners of War in America." by Dr. Arnold Krammer, Scarborough House Publishers, 1992. Dr. Krammer was a Professor of History at Texas A&M University when his book was published. He may know where you can find a list of prisoners who were held and where their camp was located.
As a matter of interest, one camp was at Fort McClellan, Alabama. The POW cemetery is located there, and the Officer's Club contains murals that were painted by some of the prisoners. Fort McClellan is being deactivated and will close in September 1999.
