WWII Info about A.Richard Ousley - Army
My father, Richard Ousley served in the Army during WWII. Compaigns listed on his discharge papers include Ardenness Camp.,N France Camp., Normandy Camp., Rhineland Camp., Central Europe Camp.During this time and prior to his discharge in December 1945 he had met and fell in love with a young woman.I think she may have been from Germany. After his discharge from the Army and return to U.S. a letter was sent to his mother's address from this lady stating that she had a baby by my father. There was also a picture of her and on the back was written (Zum Andenken anLeniNiederdunzebach Deutschland 30.12.1946). I don't know if this is where she lived or what it says. The picture was stamped with the photographers name Oscar Tellgmann , Eschwege/W.My father died in September 1952 when I was five so I don't know if he knew about the child. When my grandmother passed away we found the picture of this lady but the letter was not there. Also were letters from Army buddies, Jack Parrish, maybe from Maine and Segmind Samtur? of Bronx, NY.If anyone knew my father or the whereabouts of these two men please email me or write 719 42nd St. Tifton, GA 31794.My father's discharge papers listed his organization as Co A 802nd Repl Bn.
In his earlier Army enlistment he was with Headquarters Company 33rd Infantry at Fort Clayton Canal Zone. If anyone knew of him there please contact me. I have the program, menu and a group picture of him from Christmas 1937 while he was there.
I have a lot of other photos of my father during his Army life with different buddies but I don't know where these pictures were made.
Thanks for any help you can give.
