The 103rd AAA Automatic Weapons Battalion was 'attached' to the 1st Infantry Division from Feb. 24 1945 - May 8, 1945. On March 7, 1945 the 1st Division had reached Bonn on the Rhine River north of Remagen. Capturing Bonn March 9,1945. The 103rd AAA was protecting the division from attacking Luftwaffe aircraft. The only anti-aircraft units in the Remagen vicinity were the 16th Anti-aircraft Group supported by the 134th AAA, the 226th AAA and the 552nd AAA. The 102nd AAA could have had a battery platoon in the Remagen area. Although I have no record.
