Hello Lynnice, Sorry to say I didn't know a Glenn Sayre, I only knew a few of the Marines that were in the Military Police. The Marine camp was in a different location then the Army camp which was located on the outskirts of Reykjavik. The Army arrived in Iceland in August 1941 to relieve the Marines who left several months later--about October 1941. The Army was living in tents and were too busy building Nissen Huts before winter, so we didn't get too many passes to go into town and meet many of the Marines. Hopefully someone else reads your message and you get a positive reply. Regards, Jim.
