John J. Alcorn killed in WW2 Pacific
Hell, I know this is going to take a miracle to be answsered, however I am posting here in hopes that someone might remember my cousin John Joseph Alcorn. John was killed in the Pacific, his body never returned home.As the story went John was in a small boat with other Navy men, when the enemy came over in planes shooting at them. All the men had life jackets on and John was killed trying to get the life jackets off the men so that could go deeper into the water. While doing this he was hit and killed. I don't remember John as I ws a baby when the War was on. I am doing the family history and I would love to be able to memorialize John in the Family History. He did what he did giving up his life to save others, how brave can you be. I am proud to be related to him, and hope so very much that by a small miracle someone out there remembers him. He was from South Boston, Massachusetts if that would help. Thank you for reading my letter. [email protected]
