Army/Infantry WWII insignia help
I have two "pins" of my fathers who was in WWII.I would like to know the name of them and their meaning.
First is a small (smaller than a dime) circle with an eagle with open wings. It has a screw on back.It appears to have had a gold painting or plating at one time.
Second is one that is about two inches long.It has an, open at the top, silver wreath in the back, then an oblong blue field with a silver rifle on it, on top of the wreath.
I know he was with the 65th "Battle Axe"but I think these pertain to any Army infantry.Any help out there?
